DBT was founded in October of 1981 as DataBase Technology Corporation, and was renamed in the mid-'80s as The DBT Group. DBT is privately held, and its stockholders have committed to keeping it private. Because DBT is privately held, there is no pressure to maintain a market-valued stock price, nor are there any venture capitalists to placate. This is the reason why DBT can offer no-upgrade pricing and other financially beneficent terms to its users.
Ms. Yvette Seifert Hirth, CCP, CDP is the author or co-author of our products. She has been with the company since its inception.
Imagine having a software vendor that doesn't send you an invoice every time you upgrade your CPU. Imagine a product that is very stable over the long-term, and doesn't cost more each year to maintain. DBT takes great pride in making this a reality.
We have served the mainframe community for over 35 years. We'll be here when you need us!
Thank you for your interest in DBT!
